MEYRICK OWEN SHIELD COMPETITION RULES

The Meyrick Owen Sheild is a mixed competition for teams that shall consist of one rink of 4 players, which may include both male and female bowlers.

A club may enter any number of teams
-
Current County (male or female) and Senior County Players, regular first division skips and thirds cannot play in the Meyrick Owen. Regular second division skips and third may only play lead or second. Regular is defined as having played 3 games as skip or third. Teams that breach this rule will be deducted all the shots earned in the game and 2 points awarded to their opponents.

No player shall play for more than one team.

Should a team arrive with only 3 players, they will be subject to a penalty of 25% of their total shots scored.

Scoring shall be on the basis 2 points for a win 1 point for a draw.

Dress code, if the teams wish they can wear grey or black trousers/shorts.

Match reporting procedures will be as per PCBA league games.
